My family, my team, and I hope that you had healthy, restful holidays. After taking a few days off, the campaign is full steam ahead!

It is now official! I have filed for, and have received confirmation that I am a candidate for the primary election on May 5, 2026! At this time, I don’t know of any primary challengers, but they do have a few more weeks to file. Even if I, or your favorite candidate doesn’t have a primary challenger, it’s still critical that you assert your right to vote. We have early voting in Indiana, and mail in voting in some instances. We are called now, more than ever, to do our civic duty and vote!

The process to sign papers to be a candidate was much simpler than I had anticipated. Logan, Sally, and I, plus our spouses met together and signed on to represent our districts in Southern Indiana. We also got to sit in the gallery of the Senate to watch a session. Lawmakers are speeding through this session to save taxpayer dollars since they were called into session early over the redistricting debacle. The session was about 15 minutes long and I’ve heard auctioneers speak more slowly!
